Which Amazon PPC Software Is Best? #
In one line
No single Amazon PPC tool is best for every seller. Choose by who you want deciding each bid: you (Scale Insights, Ad Badger), a target you set (Teikametrics, Perpetua, m19) or an expert team (Quartile). Then check three things before you pay: whether it calculates bids from your target ACOS, whether it re-bids every hour, and whether you can preview and undo its changes.
This guide compares 21 Amazon PPC tools, plus Amazon's own Ads Agent, on how they bid, how they charge and what they do. Prices come from each vendor's own pricing page, read on 9–10 October 2026 and re-checked on 15 October. Where a vendor doesn't publish a price, the source is a third-party review, and the entry says so.
A disclosure you should want from anyone writing one of these lists: I build custom Amazon PPC automation, so I compete with some of these tools. None of them pays me, and there are no affiliate links on this page.
The best fit for each situation
The 5 Types of Amazon PPC Tools #
Every tool on this list works in one of five ways. The type tells you more than a feature list does: who decides each bid, how quickly the tool learns, and how much PPC knowledge you need to run it. Each card links to the vendor's site; the screenshots were taken there on 15 October 2026.
1. Rules you configure
You write if/then rules and the tool runs them on a schedule, for example: if a keyword's ACOS is over 40% for 14 days with at least 10 clicks, cut its bid by 10%. It's transparent, but someone has to know PPC to set it up.
2. Suggest, then approve
The tool proposes changes and a person approves them. Good for teams that want automation's speed without handing over the final say.
3. Goal autopilot
You set a target ACOS, TACoS or ROAS and machine learning sets every bid, often every hour. The least work, and the least visibility into why a bid moved.
4. Retail-media platforms
One platform for Amazon and many other retailers, with rules, machine learning and data pipelines. Mostly quote-only; Skai is the exception, with published annual plans.
5. Software plus a team
Experts run the platform for you. Teikametrics, Ad Badger, BidX, AiHello and Adbrew also sell managed tiers on top of their software.
Amazon PPC Software Pricing Compared #
Amazon PPC software costs from about $30 to about $10,000 a month, and Skai's published enterprise plans start at $114,000 a year. Most tools charge a base fee plus 2–3% of ad spend above a threshold, so the bill rises with your spend. A few charge a flat fee whatever you spend, and that difference matters more than the headline price.
What it costs at $20,000 a month in ad spend
The monthly bill for one account on one marketplace spending $20,000 a month, on annual billing where the vendor offers it, cheapest first. A striped end marks a percentage the vendor doesn't publish, so the real bill is higher.
Teikametrics isn't charted: above $10k of spend its base fee is custom, plus 3% of spend over $10k ($300 at $20k).
Price the tool at next year's spend. A 3% fee is $300 a month at $10k of spend and $3,000 at $100k. On SellerStack the bill doesn't move at all, and on atom11 it stays at $499 until you pass $50k.
The seven ways they charge
- Percentage of ad spend: PPC Entourage charges 2.9%. AdLabs charges 1–2% plus $120 a month. Helium 10 charges 2% of managed spend on top of the Diamond plan.
- Base fee, plus a percentage above a threshold: Perpetua is $695 up to $10k of spend, then $695 plus a percentage agreed with sales. Teikametrics adds 3% of spend over $10k to a custom base. m19 Professional is $479 plus 3% of managed spend, AiHello $199 per marketplace plus 2%, and BidX Self Service €495 plus a percentage it doesn't publish.
- Flat price by spend band: Ad Badger runs from $275 to $1,830 a month, atom11 is $499 up to $50k of spend, and Quartile runs from $895 to $9,995 (third-party).
- Flat price at any spend: SellerStack is $239 a month per account on annual billing, and Sellozo $250 plus $50 per extra marketplace (third-party).
- Per ASIN: Scale Insights charges $78 a month for 5 ASINs up to $688 for 100, or 1% of ad spend on its 1% plan.
- By seller revenue: Seller Labs Ad Genius starts at $29.99 a month (third-party).
- Annual contract or quote: Skai publishes annual plans from $114,000. Pacvue, Intentwise and Trellis quote on request.

What the grid can't show:
- Scale Insights previews every action with its calculation, but its hourly data comes from a report you upload, not from Marketing Stream.
- SellerStack's Bid Rewind restores bids to any day in the last 60 days on paid plans, and nothing changes until you switch automation on.
- Ad Badger tracks competitors' organic rank too, and every plan includes its Amazon Ads MCP.
- Intentwise is strongest on data: pipelines into your own warehouse, an AMC explorer and its "AI Gateway" MCP server.
- Teikametrics covers Walmart as well as Amazon and includes refund recovery.
What Changed in PPC Tools in 2026 #
Four shifts in 2026 change what you should expect from a PPC tool going into 2027.
Amazon now competes with the tools
At unBoxed on 29 September 2026, Amazon renamed its unified ads platform, the ads console and Amazon DSP together, Amazon Ads Agent, and widened the agent inside it. It recommends Sponsored Products targeting, bids and budgets that you apply in one click, and turns plain-language questions into AMC SQL (coverage). It's in a rolling closed beta, with no separate price published.
A tool whose main feature is suggesting bids now competes with Amazon's own console. Ask what it does that the console doesn't.
Every tool is adding an AI layer
Amazon put its Ads MCP Server into open beta on 2 February 2026, and the tools followed. Scale Insights shipped an MCP server in August 2026; Ad Badger includes one on every plan, AdLabs on Pro and atom11 on Enterprise. Intentwise and Skai let outside agents read their data, and BidX, Pacvue and Skai have agents of their own.
To point Claude at your own account instead: connect Claude to Amazon Ads over MCP.
Hourly re-bidding is standard at the top
Teikametrics, Perpetua, Adbrew, atom11, Skai and m19 all re-bid on Marketing Stream's hourly data. Stream V1 stops delivering on 30 June 2027, and Stream V2 is a different pipe: Parquet files in S3, where V1 pushed records through Firehose or SQS.
Every tool that bids hourly has to migrate, so ask yours whether it's on V2 yet.
Bidding is becoming retail-aware
atom11, Adbrew and SellerStack (and, per third-party reviews, Pacvue) now change bids on retail signals: they cut bids when stock runs low, when you lose the Buy Box, or when you already rank near the top organically.
A bid engine that can't see stock keeps buying clicks for a product that's about to sell out.
What to Look For in a PPC Tool in 2027 #
Feature lists all look alike. These six questions separate the tools that will hold up in 2027 from the ones that won't. Ask each one in the demo, and ask to see the answer working on your own account.
- Does it calculate a bid from your target ACOS, or only cut by a percentage?
A serious tool works out the bid each keyword can afford. The common formula is revenue per click × target ACOS, which is selling price × target ACOS × orders ÷ clicks. In Scale Insights' own worked example, a $20 product at a 30% target ACOS with 50 clicks and 10 orders gets an optimum bid of $1.20. A rule that can only "cut bids 10% when ACOS is high" never raises the bid on a keyword that's winning.
- Does it move bids in capped steps, and ignore the last two days?
One lucky click and sale shouldn't double a bid. Good engines move a capped percentage towards the optimum on each run, and skip the most recent days, whose sales Amazon is still attributing. Scale Insights skips the past 2 days by default.
- Does it re-bid hourly from Marketing Stream, or daily from reports?
Hourly re-bidding needs Marketing Stream data. Ask where the tool's hourly numbers come from, because some, like Scale Insights, take them from a report you upload. Then ask about the 30 June 2027 V1 shutoff.
- Can you preview, approve and undo every change?
This is what gets automation switched on, and keeps it on. Scale Insights previews every action with its calculation. SellerStack's Bid Rewind restores bids to any day in the last 60 days. Seller Labs auto-approves only above a confidence threshold. If a tool can't show you what it's about to do, you'll end up switching it off.
- Does it read stock, the Buy Box and organic rank?
Ads and inventory live in different systems, so most bid engines can't see that a product is about to run out. Retail-aware rules cut bids on low stock, pause ads when you lose the Buy Box, and trim bids on keywords you already rank for organically.
- Does the price punish growth?
Work out the fee at next year's ad spend, not this month's. A fee of 2–3% of spend grows with every dollar you add, and a flat or banded fee doesn't. The $20k worked example shows how wide the spread is.
The target-ACOS formula, worked through
Here is what a target-ACOS engine does to one keyword on one run, using Scale Insights' example numbers and a current bid of $2.00:
The same logic in Python, so you can check any tool's bid suggestions against your own numbers:
def next_bid(current, price, target_acos, clicks, orders,
max_step=0.10, min_bid=0.02, max_bid=5.00):
# clicks and orders cover the lookback window, minus the last 2 days
if clicks == 0:
return current # no data yet: leave it alone
if orders:
optimum = price * target_acos * orders / clicks
else:
optimum = price * target_acos / clicks # falls with every wasted click
low, high = current * (1 - max_step), current * (1 + max_step)
step = min(max(optimum, low), high) # one capped step per run
return round(min(max(step, min_bid), max_bid), 2)
next_bid(2.00, price=20, target_acos=0.30, clicks=50, orders=10, max_step=0.02)
# optimum is 1.20, but this run may only cut 2%: returns 1.96
$0.02 is the minimum Sponsored Products bid on Amazon.com. Scale Insights adds one more guard: it leaves a keyword that has no sales alone while its spend is still below price × target ACOS (one sale's worth of ad cost) and its bid is already below the optimum.
Buy a Tool, or Build Your Own Engine? #
For most single-brand sellers, a tool from this list is cheaper than building one. Building wins in three cases: you run many accounts and per-account or percentage fees add up; your bidding needs inputs no tool reads, such as your cost of goods, your stock plan or your own rank data; or you want the rules and the data in a system you own. I set out the cost maths in Custom PPC Automation vs Pacvue & Perpetua.
What I built in October 2026
A target-ACOS bid engine inside a multi-marketplace seller's operations platform, designed around the checklist above:
- Bids from target ACOS: sales ÷ clicks × target, moved at most 10% per run by default, and held between a minimum bid, a maximum bid and the marketplace floor.
- Rules in priority order: the first rule that matches a keyword claims it, so no keyword gets two conflicting changes in one run.
- The rest of the routine: negate, harvest, pause, placement and budget rules, with a protected-terms list that no rule may touch.
- A trust layer: preview runs that show every change before anything is sent, an approval queue, a change log and undo.
It is rolling out approval-first: every run waits for a person to approve it before anything reaches Amazon. Hourly re-bidding on Marketing Stream and stock-aware conditions come next.
If that's the shape you want for your own accounts, the PPC automation page sets out what a custom build includes and what it costs.
How This Comparison Was Made #
I read each vendor's pricing and feature pages on 9 and 10 October 2026, and re-checked every price and link on 15 October 2026. Where a vendor publishes its own price, this page uses it, because third-party price lists often disagree with each other. Pacvue blocks automated reads, so its feature cells rely on third-party reviews, as do the entries marked third-party.
The screenshots are of each vendor's public website, taken on 15 October 2026. They show how each company presents its product; the products themselves sit behind a login. All trademarks and images belong to their owners.
Left out on purpose: Sellics, which merged into Perpetua in 2022; Eva, which is mainly an agency; Profasee, which is repricing first; Jungle Scout Cobalt, Stackline, CommerceIQ and DataHawk, which are analytics suites rather than PPC managers; and Zon.Tools, which RevenueGeeks lists as sunset in March 2026.
Prices and features change. If you work at one of these vendors and an entry is wrong, send a correction and I'll fix it with a dated note.

FAQ #
What is the best Amazon PPC software in 2026?
There is no single best tool; the right one depends on who you want deciding each bid. For control, Scale Insights or Ad Badger calculate bids from your target ACOS and show their work. For a hands-off autopilot, Teikametrics or Perpetua re-bid hourly on Marketing Stream data, and m19 Autopilot costs $59 a month under $5k of spend. Multi-retailer brands should look at Pacvue or Skai, and sellers with no in-house PPC staff at Quartile.
How much does Amazon PPC software cost?
As of October 2026, paid plans run from about $30 to about $10,000 a month, and Skai's enterprise plans start at $114,000 a year. Most tools charge a base fee plus 2–3% of ad spend above a threshold, such as Teikametrics (3% over $10k) or m19 Professional ($479 plus 3%). Flat-fee tools include SellerStack ($239 a month per account on annual billing), atom11 ($499 up to $50k of spend) and Ad Badger (priced by spend band).
Is there free Amazon PPC software?
Yes, with limits. AdLabs has a free tier for up to 3 profiles with limited data retention, and SellerStack's free plan runs rules by hand, which it suggests for accounts spending under $3,000 a month. Amazon's own Ads Agent recommends Sponsored Products bids and budgets inside the ads console, but its new capabilities are in a rolling closed beta. To see what your campaigns waste before you pay for anything, the free wasted spend finder reads a search-term report and lists the terms that never converted.
Teikametrics vs Perpetua: which is better?
Both are goal-based autopilots that re-bid on Marketing Stream's hourly data. Teikametrics is cheaper at low spend, at $149 a month (annual) up to $10k of ad spend against Perpetua's $695, and it covers Walmart and includes refund recovery. Perpetua adds hourly share-of-voice and organic-rank insights. Above $10k of spend both add a percentage: Teikametrics publishes 3% of spend over $10k, while Perpetua agrees its percentage with you.
What is the best alternative to Pacvue?
It depends on why you're leaving. For multi-retailer coverage at enterprise scale, Skai is the closest match and now publishes its prices. For Amazon-only brands that want an autopilot, Perpetua or Teikametrics. For predictable fees, atom11 or Ad Badger, which charge a flat price by spend band. If you want people to run it for you, Quartile.
Does the Amazon Ads Agent replace PPC software?
Not yet. As of October 2026 it recommends Sponsored Products targeting, bids and budgets that you apply in one click, and its new capabilities are in a rolling closed beta. What it changes is the floor: a tool whose main feature is suggesting bids now competes with suggestions inside Amazon's own console, so pay for what Amazon doesn't do, such as hourly re-bidding, stock-aware rules or a profit view.
Is Amazon PPC automation software worth it?
It's worth it when the fee is smaller than the wasted spend and the hours it saves. A quick test: run last month's search-term report through a wasted-spend check, then compare the spend on terms that never converted with the tool's monthly fee at your spend level.
